What is map based MLS searching?
Map based multiple listing service (MLS) searching is the latest bleeding edge feature for your website.
There are some website visitors who have no clue which zip code matches where they want to live. Many of them get annoyed looking at homes, only to find they are on the wrong side of town.
This problem goes way when they use a map to zoom down to their neighborhood AND see houses for sale ON THE MAP itself. Imagine this:
Someone comes to your website to search for a house for sale. They don’t know the zip codes, but they know where on the map they would like to live. Instead of trying to bounce back and forth between the MLS listing and a map to see if the house is in their territory, they STAY on a map of the area looking for homes. They zoom down to the area they want, and houses for sale JUST in that area pop-up on the map. When they find a house, they can switch over to the aerial photography to see if the area is clear cut track homes or is a nice wooded area with mature trees. In some areas, Google even has a street view of the actual house in the neightborhood.

We also support both RETS and IDX technology. IDX systems are typically updated once per day, but RETS can be near real time, depending on your individual MLS system.
Can visitors create an account and save their home searches?
Yes. We can allow visitors to create and account and save searches while they are engaged in looking for a home. While this helps the visitor from a convenience standpoint, it also helps the broker track users and email market to them during their entire life cycle of searching for a home.
What if you have never worked with my specific MLS service before?
RETS and IDX are national standards. While there are some nuances between MLS systems, the core data is the same, and NeoNexus can sort out those details and make it work for you. As long as your MLS provides web access to the MLS data, we can work with it.
