Monday, July 10, 2006 - NeoNexus announced as web designer for the Council of Historic Organizations (COHO)

The Council of Historic Organizations held a press conference today to announce their publication of a directory containing all known organizations in Kanawha and Putnam Counties that are devoted to history. Some have big budgets and nice facilities (like the Avampata Discovery Museum at the Clay Center) and some consist of a few people getting together once a year...but all of them have the common theme of both a love of history and a desire to educate others about all the rich history right in their back door.

At the press conference COHO also announced that NeoNexus Corporation has been selected to build the website for COHO. Initially, the website will consist of a digital version of the COHO directory, but it will be expanded to give a richer directory experience, including searching for information, news and evetns, and links to the websites of all 79 other organizations in the directory. June 15, 2006 - NeoNexus presents at Battelle Conference in Monterey, CA

NeoNexus Corporation was an exhibitor at the Fifth International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds which was sponsored and organized by Battelle. Co-sponsors include other leading organizations that are active in site remediation research and application. First held in 1998, the International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds has become one of the world's leading environmental remediation conferences.

Attendees include nearly every major environmental consulting firm in the US, Fortune 500 companies, and many government agencies including the US Department of the Navy, Federal EPA, California Department of Environmental Protection, and Los Alamos National Laboratories. The focus is on environmental issues that require years and even decades to address, many of which have price tags approaching $50 million or more. These type of issues require large volumes of data to be collected, analyzed, and reported, and NeoNexus was there to present how its web based and PDA software tools can help reduce the cost and speed up the data processing to near real time.

NeoNexus would like to thank Charleston's own Candy Factory (http://www.wvcandyfactory.com) for providing chocolate coins with the NeoNexus logo and contact information on them. The coins were a big hit, with people stopping by every afternoon for a caffeine/sugar pick-me up. The other presenters using Hershey and Nestle got relegated to second fiddle once word spread about that REAL chocolate was available from NeoNexus!
