NeoNexus announced as web designer for the Council of Historic Organizations (COHO)

The Council of Historic Organizations held a press conference today to announce their publication of a directory containing all known organizations in Kanawha and Putnam Counties that are devoted to history. Some have big budgets and nice facilities (like the Avampata Discovery Museum at the Clay Center) and some consist of a few people getting together once a year…but all of them have the common theme of both a love of history and a desire to educate others about all the rich history right in their back door.

At the press conference COHO also announced that NeoNexus Corporation has been selected to build the website for COHO. Initially, the website will consist of a digital version of the COHO directory, but it will be expanded to give a richer directory experience, including searching for information, news and events, and links to the websites of all 79 other organizations in the directory. The website will be complete in mid-July. You can experience COHO for yourself at www.wvhistory.org as soon as it is complete. For a full press release, see the article in the July 11 issue of the Charleston Gazette at www.wvgazette.org .
